Peace & luxury at

Greenwood Barn

Do contact me if you would like to enquire about availability - I am already taking bookings for next year and June is becoming quite full already!

If you want peace and luxury within spectacular surroundings, then I would love to welcome you to my bed and breakfast.  The house's modern interior and comfortable, well equipped accommodation reflects a quality I hope you will enjoy.

Following on from the success of my previous B&B, Napier Cottage, I have upgraded the accommodation in my new house to offer a peaceful retreat for two people with exclusive use of the main lounge that has even more amazing views of the sea and mountains - a 'priceless perch' on Sleat, the ‘Garden of Skye’, ideally situated between the Skye Bridge and the Mallaig to Armadale ferry, both of which are about 20 minutes away.

Parts of Skye are becoming very busy, but South Skye is still an undiscovered gem.

We are very near the Eilean Iarmain, Kinloch Lodge and Duisdale House hotels, ideal for your evening meals, and we share fabulous sea and mountain views.

My previous property, Napier Cottage, is no longer being run as a B&B.

Highlights

Fabulous views

Sit on the comfortable leather chairs in the guest lounge or relax above the cliffs on the terrace and soak up the views of the sea towards Isle Ornsay and the mountains on the mainland. Watch sailing boats arrive and gannets dive for their supper, and even otters and dolphins if you are very lucky.

Large living area

The lounge is exclusively for guests to use. Come back from a wonderful day exploring the island and revive yourself with a cup of tea or fresh coffee. Books and maps are available for guests to borrow, or I could tell you all about my favourite secret places on Skye.

Full Scottish breakfast

I offer a very varied breakfast menu, including a full Scottish breakfast and fish, souffle or pancakes for a lighter option. My fresh fruit salad is much appreciated, as are the home-made jams and marmalade and freshly brewed fairtrade coffee.

Luxury ensuite

There is a spacious quadrant shower cubical with a large rain shower and a stylish basin and plenty of storage for toiletries. I supply luxury linen, cosy dressing gowns, slippers and large soft towels.

A Few Words from

The Sunday Times

There's not that much to do at Isle Ornsay but stand and stare in awestruck amazement - this might just be the greatest view in Europe.
