I have been awarded the coveted 5* VisitScotland Quality Assurance grading and am one of Sawday's 'Special Places to Stay'.
I offer a very high quality peaceful retreat for two people looking for a unique location for that special holiday with luxurious facilities within spectacular surroundings - a landmark birthday, a wedding, honeymoon or anniversary perhaps. The house's modern interior and comfortable, well equipped accommodation are aimed at providing an experience which I hope you will enjoy.
Guests have exclusive use of the main lounge that has amazing views of the sea and mountains - a 'priceless perch' on Sleat, the ‘Garden of Skye’, ideally situated between the Skye Bridge and the Mallaig to Armadale ferry, both of which are about 20 minutes away.
Parts of Skye are becoming very busy and expensive, but South Skye is still an undiscovered gem.
The B&B is very near the Eilean Iarmain, Kinloch Lodge and Duisdale House hotels, ideal for your evening meals, and we share fabulous sea and mountain views.
I have also been awarded a Silver Green Tourism grading which shows I have created and support a 'green' environment which covers all aspects of sustainability, supporting the local community and purchasing from local suppliers.
Sit on the comfortable leather chairs in the guest lounge or relax above the cliffs on the terrace and soak up the views of the sea towards Isle Ornsay and the mountains on the mainland. Watch sailing boats arrive and gannets dive for their supper, and even otters and dolphins if you are very lucky.
The lounge is exclusively for guests to use in the evening and the TV is set up with NETFLIX for your enjoyment . Come back from a wonderful day exploring the island and revive yourself with a cup of tea or fresh coffee. Books, maps and binoculars are available for guests to borrow, or I could tell you all about my favourite secret places on Skye.
I offer a very varied breakfast menu, including a full Scottish breakfast and fish, souffle or pancakes for a lighter option. My fresh fruit salad is much appreciated, as are the home-made jams and marmalade and freshly brewed fairtrade coffee.
There is a spacious quadrant shower cubical with a large rain shower and a stylish basin and plenty of storage for toiletries. I supply luxury linen, cosy dressing gowns, slippers and large soft towels.
There's not that much to do at Isle Ornsay but stand and stare in awestruck amazement - this might just be the greatest view in Europe.
Superb B&B and what a location! Facilities are second to none and this is currently unbeatable in what it offers. Can't recommend this high enough!
